Dismantling of the former KWU towers at Kaiserlei starts in May

As announced, the demolition of the former KWU towers on Kaiserlei will begin this spring. Offenbach's Lord Mayor Dr. Felix Schwenke emphasizes: "I am very pleased that ABG is keeping its word and starting demolition work on the KWU towers as quickly as promised. After many years of stagnation, the foundation stone is finally being laid for the new Kaiserviertel at the entrance to the city of Offenbach. Over the next few years, a completely new urban quarter will be created there, combining housing, student accommodation, work and commerce as well as social infrastructure. This project will significantly enhance the Kaiserlei service location as a whole." It is particularly important to Mayor Schwenke that publicly subsidized apartments will also be built in addition to the student housing units. Offenbach's housing association GBO has agreed a purchase option for this so that it can operate the 100 or so apartments itself in future.
