Masterplan Offenbach: Survey and information at the weekly market on Saturday

The Offenbach 2030 master plan was drawn up six years ago. It is the guideline for the city's development up to 2030. It is now half-time, which is why work is currently underway on a check-up of the master plan. On Saturday, December 3, 2022, there will be information about the master plan and the check-up at Offenbach's weekly market. Offenbach residents will also be asked in an online survey whether and how well they know the master plan.

The Offenbach Masterplan was developed in 2015 with broad public participation on behalf of the City of Offenbach and the Offenbach offensiv association and was adopted in February 2016. It is the guideline for Offenbach's urban development up to the year 2030 and identifies ten key projects. The implementation status of the key projects was reviewed last year and a positive interim assessment was made. Many projects are already in progress. This year, a comprehensive check-up of the master plan will be carried out by Albert Speer und Partner. The results are expected to be available between February and March 2023. It will examine how Offenbach has changed in recent years. Questions include, for example: How much has Offenbach grown? Has Offenbach become older or younger? What potential areas have been developed? Which areas can still be developed for residential and commercial use in the future?

"As the master plan was drawn up with the broad participation of Offenbach's residents, it is now important to continue informing and involving the public. Therefore, the check-up will also examine how this has been achieved so far, what can be retained and what can be done better," says Lord Mayor Dr. Felix Schwenke. Offenbach residents will be asked in an online survey whether they feel well informed about the master plan, what their impressions are and what form of information they would like to see in the future. There will be an information stand at Offenbach's weekly market on Saturday, December 3, 2022, from 8 am to 2 pm. Interested parties can find out about the master plan and its contents as well as the check-up procedure. Anyone who wants to can also take part in the survey at the information stand.
