In four tours, the people of Offenbach were able to get an idea of how the master plan developed in 2015 is working. What is happening on the Innovation Campus? What projects are in the pipeline in the city center and what is happening at Kaiserlei and the Innovation Campus? Around 120 participants were there to find out and visit places that are otherwise inaccessible to the public: A look inside the empty Kaufhof department store, which is being developed into Station Mitte, is not something you see every day. Or the listed buildings on the Innovation Campus. Around 40 participants were also allowed into the "Alte Post" at the main station. There, they learned about the current status of the various projects surrounding Offenbach's main railway station. In addition to the future of the station itself, the student union's plans for the Alte Post and the measures to redesign the area around the station were met with great interest. Finally, a look was taken at the area at the historic signal box, where the Intercontinental Gardens are currently located and which will be completed next year.
