The background to this is a property sale. The anonymous complainant's allegations are exactly the same as those made on August 26, 2021 by a group of investors who own another plot of land in Kaiserlei. This group of investors has been in a tough dispute with the city over the use of their property for around three years. They want to enforce maximum development and, among other things, prevent a park that was established for the property they own with public participation. The park had already been established long before the group acquired the land. However, the group had not informed itself about this in the publicly accessible documents.

There are no indications of any unusual conduct or incorrect administrative action in connection with the sale of the municipal land in Kaiserlei, which has now been criticized by the investor group. The entire process was conducted transparently in 2018 via the municipal council and city council, a valuation was carried out and the award was discussed and decided at a public meeting.

The city will work closely with all other authorities and also involve external lawyers to handle the process. Anonymous accusations are also currently being spread on the Internet. Members of the city council are being accused of personal enrichment. The city will no longer tolerate this and will take legal action to secure evidence and identify the authors.
