City of Offenbach

Design advisory board of the city of Offenbach

In 2019, the city councillors decided to set up a design advisory board. This is intended to incorporate the expertise of external specialists into urban design.

From left: Martin Haas (architect, Stuttgart), Regina Stottrop (urban planner, Cologne), Head of Planning Paul-Gerhard Weiß, Thorsten Kock (architect, Stuttgart) and Ruben Lang (architect, Frankfurt). Rebekka Junge (landscape architect, Bochum) is missing.

The expert committee is independent. It is primarily to be involved in large, cityscape-defining construction projects in building construction, traffic planning, open space planning and conceptual planning for the city as a whole. The city hopes that this will improve the structural and design quality of building projects. It also aims to support developers in their decision-making and promote awareness of building culture among the public.

Members

On March 5, 2020, the city councillors passed a resolution on the appointment of the members of the Design Advisory Board. The following people are members of the advisory board, initially for three years Regina Stottrop from Cologne, landscape architect Rebekka Junge (Wbp Landschaftsarchitekten) from Bochum and architects Martin Haas (haas cook zemmmerich Studio 2050) Stuttgart, Thorsten Kock (Bez + Kock) Stuttgart and Ruben Lang (o5 Architekten) Frankfurt.
