Bieber Waldhof West: Information from the building land dialogs online
28.10.2021
The city of Offenbach is planning Bieber Waldhof West, a sustainable residential area with 600 new apartments. With the help of the building land dialogs, the city wants to provide information about the new district and involve citizens through the work in planning workshops. This is an informal participation process and not a legally prescribed procedure.
It began with the kick-off event in September. This was followed by an information week at the beginning of October. Interested parties can register for the next online event, an update of the climate and precipitation management reports, on Tuesday, November 2, 7 pm, at stadtentwicklungoffenbachde. Two workshops dealing with various issues such as sustainability, spatial development and public space will also take place in November. Places for participation have already been allocated to representatives of various interest groups. The preliminary conclusion with the handover of the results from the building land dialogues is planned for Wednesday, 8 December 2021.
Those who are unable to attend the building land dialogues can still obtain up-to-date information via the City of Offenbach website. All events in the series will be recorded and the results will be made available together with the presentations on the city's website at www.offenbach.de/bieber-waldhof-west. Individual expert contributions can also be viewed here as films.
For example, the planners present the winning design from the 2019 ideas competition in person. Experts explain the species protection study, the climate study and the approaches for preventing rainwater from the development area from being discharged into the municipal sewer system. The topic of heat and energy provides insights into how forward-looking building areas could manage without fossil fuels in the future.
