At school, young people acquire basic knowledge about preparing application documents. However, there is often a lack of continuous support throughout the application process. Transition management has been successfully filling this gap with its job application workshops since 2016.

Participants are given practical support - from creating informative documents and online applications to preparing for recruitment tests and interviews. The intensive support increases application activity and facilitates the transition to an apprenticeship. At the same time, the exchange in the group strengthens motivation and stamina.

The offer takes place on the premises of the transition management in the Hassia-Fabrik and is aimed at all young people and young adults from Offenbach.

• Support with career orientation and clarification of goals
• Preparation and compilation of meaningful application documents (cover letter, CV, certificates)
• Support with online and portal applications
• Preparation for recruitment tests and selection procedures
• Training for job interviews

And all of this in a supportive group setting that encourages mutual exchange, makes use of each other's experiences and gives young people confidence in the application process. At the same time, motivation, self-confidence and stamina are strengthened so that setbacks such as rejections can be better dealt with and the next steps can be actively tackled.

The Bewerbungs-AG is for young people between the ages of 14 and 27 who live in Offenbach and have not yet completed an apprenticeship. Participation is voluntary and free of charge.

The job application club currently takes place Mondays to Thursdays from 3:30 to 5:30 pm.

In order to be able to start the application process more quickly, the following documents should ideally be brought along:

• signed application form (opens in a new tab)
• the last two school reports
• application photo
• Work references, internship assessments or other certificates
• cover letter or CV (printed or digital), if applicable
