Education and participation
The education and participation package provides funds so that children who receive social benefits can take advantage of daycare and school services and participate in learning and leisure activities.
You can take advantage of services for
- Extracurricular tutoring
- Lunch at school and daycare center
- Excursions and trips to school and daycare centers
- School transport
- Contributions for social, cultural or sporting activities
- In addition, pupils receive a lump sum for the purchase of school materials on August 1 and February 1 of each year. This is adjusted annually.
Requirements:
Children, teenagers and young adults up to and including the age of 24 who receive unemployment benefit (employment agency), social benefits (job center) or asylum seeker benefits, or whose parents receive these benefits. Families who receive child supplement or housing benefit (social welfare office).

Advice center for families on financial benefits
Open advice center for families, where advice is provided free of charge on cash benefits for families (citizen's allowance, housing benefit, education and participation, child benefit, child supplement, pregnancy advice, parental contribution subsidy for daycare, maintenance advance, benefits from the job center, benefits from the employment agency, housing maintenance and housing security) and applications for the above benefits can be made directly.
The offer takes place every 3rd Tuesday of the month from 09:00 to 12:00 on the 1st floor of the Offenbach Employment Agency, Domstraße 68, 63067 Offenbach.
The dates for 2026 are: 20.01., 17.02., 17.03., 21.04., 19.05., 16.06., 15.09., 20.10., 17.11. and 15.12.
Contact persons on site are employees of the Family Benefits Office of the Employment Agency, MainArbeit, the Youth Welfare Office, the Social Welfare Office and the Housing Office.
