German courses for beginners

For all those who do not (yet) attend an integration course and/or would like to take their first steps in language and everyday life, there are a number of inexpensive and sometimes free opportunities to learn German in Offenbach. Participants in these courses do not receive certificates or diplomas, and the focus is often on getting to know each other and arriving. The courses are particularly suitable, for example, to bridge the waiting time for an integration course or to get a taste of the German language without obligation.

Mom learns German

The Offenbach Adult Education Center's "Mama learns German" program is aimed in particular at women with children who have little knowledge of German and therefore live in isolation. At the meetings, they can get to know other mothers and learn more about the local education system, further education opportunities and leisure and advice services. The content of the courses is based on the lives of the participants and take place in schools and district offices.

Further information on the current courses can be found here:

In addition to the Volkshochschule Offenbach, associations, communities and charities also offer free German courses for adults and young people for initial language orientation. Please contact the provider directly. They will provide you with all further information:
