International children's book exhibition at the Klingspor Museum
27.01.2024
The International Children's Book Exhibition will take place at the Klingspor Museum from January 11 to April 14, 2024. Books often contain a lot of text to read. But pictures are also important in children's books. These pictures are also called illustrations. The illustrations sometimes tell their own story. Or they add their own meaning to the text. That's why this year's children's book exhibition is all about illustrations. For example, it explains who draws the illustrations in the books, how these people work and what they want to say with the illustrations.
The exhibition shows children's books from all over the world. Visitors can look at and read the books. There is also a program with various events.
For example, the "Museum for All" event will take place on February 24. On this day, there will be a guided tour in simple language from 2.15 pm to 2.45 pm. Admission is free on this day. There are also family afternoons and guided tours for families. And on some days, books are read aloud.
