Rescue box: quick help in an emergency

20.04.2024

The can that can save lives.

In an emergency, things have to happen quickly. You don't always have time to give the rescue service and emergency helpers all the information they need. Or you forget something important because you are under stress.

A so-called rescue box is designed to help. The rescue box contains important information for emergencies. This includes personal information and what medication you need. The rescue box is kept in the fridge. Signs are hung on the front door and the fridge. They show that you have a rescue box. Rescue services and emergency helpers will then know immediately. They can then treat a person more quickly in an emergency.

The idea of a rescue can has been around for some time. It can save lives. That's why the city of Offenbach is now doing a lot of advertising for the rescue can. The rescue box is free of charge. Older people and their relatives can get them at all municipal senior citizens' centers: at the Else-Herrmann-Saal in Goerdeler Straße 1, Christine-Kempf-Haus in Schönbornstraße 67, Emil-Renk-Haus in Gersprenzweg 24, Seniorentreff Nordend in Pirazzistraße 18 and Seniorentreff Lauterborn in Richard-Wagner-Straße 95. They are also available at Seniorenhilfe Offenbach in Lämmerspieler Weg 43 and at the pharmacy "Zum Löwen" in Frankfurter Straße 35.
