30.05.2026

There are two electric rickshaws in Offenbach. A rickshaw is a small vehicle. It looks like a bicycle with two seats at the front. A rickshaw is driven by a driver. They are also called pilots. Two people can sit in the front and be driven.

There are 21 pilots in the city of Offenbach. They drive to retirement and nursing homes and disabled people's homes in Offenbach and take passengers with them. Passengers must make arrangements with the facility and book an appointment. Senior citizens who still live at home can also book an appointment. A round trip takes one to two hours. The trips are free of charge. However, anyone who wants to can donate some money. The money can be used to repair the rickshaws.

Requests can be sent by email to rikschafzofde.

New rickshaw drivers are being sought. You can apply by e-mail to rikschafzofde. Rickshaw pilots are trained beforehand. They undergo traffic training and a first aid course. Rickshaw pilots should have time during the week. They work on a voluntary basis. This means that they do not receive any money for their work.
