Submit declaration of commitment online
As a rule, a visa is issued if the guest is able to support themselves during their stay in Germany. The guest must therefore provide proof of sufficient financial means to the German Embassy or the German Consulate General on site.
If the person is not able to prove sufficient financial means to the German diplomatic mission abroad, a third party (guarantor) can submit a declaration of commitment. This presupposes that the sponsor can prove his or her creditworthiness to the Immigration Office.
