Committed cities in Hesse - Offenbach is one of them

In a virtual kick-off event, Minister of State Axel Wintermeyer gave the official starting signal for the state's participation in the "Engagierte Stadt" program. Eight Hessian municipalities are part of the nationwide network of Committed Cities: Offenbach since 2020 together with Kassel and Viernheim, Marburg and Wetzlar since 2015 and newcomers Kaufungen, Lampertheim and Rosbach vor der Höhe since May.

Committed cities are created throughout Germany where committed people from non-profit organizations, public administration and companies work together to promote volunteering locally. In Offenbach, the city's volunteer officer Manuel Dieter, the volunteer center and the neighborhood management in Nordend and Senefelder Quartier are working together on the project. The next project of the Engagierte Stadt Offenbach is the hands-on workshop on July 3.
