Introducing our daycare center

"Every snowflake and every child have something in common: they are all unique."

Individual approach and offers

Our daycare center has five mixed-age groups (3-6 years) spread over two floors. Each child belongs to a home group, from which they have the opportunity to visit other groups and take part in various activities and projects.

The core groups are connected to each other by spaces and are also used by the children across groups. They are regularly converted into different play areas to meet the current needs of the children (e.g. role play room, math corner or quiet area).

Familiarization

The settling-in phase is an intensive and exciting time for everyone involved, which involves a great deal of empathy and close support for the families. In order to give the children a successful and gentle start to daycare, we tailor the settling-in process to each child individually. The settling-in process is considered complete when both the child and the parents/guardians have established a relationship of trust with the teachers. Saying goodbye in the morning works well with support, the child quickly calms down after initial sadness and can then participate in the daily routine with interest. He is able to spend several hours in the daycare center and engage in active play.

Regular offers

In our studio, the children can give free rein to their creativity by using a wide range of materials and techniques.

The well-equipped children's library is available to all children and is actively used in everyday educational activities to promote language learning and social interaction. In addition, the children receive a visit from our "reading grandma" once a week.

A wide variety of physical activities take place in the gym every day to develop the children's motor skills and physical awareness. Our natural outdoor area also invites children to climb, run and hide.

In order to give the children further experience of nature and to raise their environmental awareness at an early age, a "forest day" is held twice a week for all groups. In addition, there are regular excursions and walks in the surrounding area and cultural activities.

Family work

In addition to the daily door-to-door talks, detailed development talks are held regularly to discuss the various areas of development and current concerns. There is also a family corner where families can find important information and gain an insight into our educational work. Special highlights at our facility are annual festivals and events.

The Rheinstraße daycare center (21) is one of the municipal daycare centers (EKO-Kita). The Eigenbetrieb Kindertagesstätten Offenbach (EKO) works according to the Hessian Education and Upbringing Plan (BEP) and an in-house concept, which reflects the self-image of the company and basic pedagogical attitudes. On this basis, our facilities design their own in-house concept, each with its own focus.

The EKO lives a prejudice-conscious, appreciative welcoming culture. Everyone is welcome here! We give every child individual educational and development opportunities and want to be a place where diversity and democracy are lived.

Our work is shaped in dialog with the children and their families. All employees take responsibility for an active educational partnership as well as for their own pedagogical work. Accordingly, qualification, further education and training in various areas is an essential part of our work.
