Introducing our daycare center

"Learning with joy and discovering the world through play"

The all-day classes (GTK) of the daycare center are located at the Beethoven School. These all-day classes have two classes, i.e. there are 2 all-day classes per year group. There are 25 children and 2 teachers in each all-day class at our facility. The teachers in the all-day class work closely with the class teachers. As a result, the children quickly acquire a high level of social skills and gain intensive learning experiences.

The common goals of our all-day class and the elementary school are to guarantee the children the opportunity for more individual support and differentiated learning opportunities. Accordingly, in close cooperation with the school, we offer the children a very varied educational day with different forms of learning and learning opportunities. We organize a two-week settling-in period for the children at our facility at the start of primary school, which is discussed together with the families. During this time, the children do not have to stay until 4 p.m., but can be picked up after lunch or even directly after school by arrangement with the families.

Each day in the all-day class begins with the school's morning service from 07:30 to 08:30. The children then have lessons from 08:30 until 12:00 or 13:00 and then go into the lunch break, during which we offer a balanced lunch. Learning time begins after the lunch break. During this time, but also throughout the afternoon, we introduce the children to independent, self-directed learning.

During the Hessian school vacations, care is provided from 7:30 to 17:00. We offer a varied program developed with the children, including excursions, games and creative activities.

The advantage of our all-day classes is that we are familiar with the content of the school lessons and can take up and expand on them in a modified form with the children in the afternoon. We also work together with the teachers in the respective classes and can also support and challenge the children in small groups in a very differentiated and targeted manner.

Diverse educational offers

In order to develop an independent learning and working attitude and to gain confidence in our own abilities, we have access to the school's very well-equipped facilities. There is a workroom, a gymnasium, various classrooms and a spacious outdoor area.

After the allocation of places, the admission interviews are conducted by the daycare center managers and/or the responsible educators. We also conduct annual development meetings for each child.

The Beethovenschule daycare center (25) is one of the municipal daycare centers (EKO-Kita). The Eigenbetrieb Kindertagesstätten Offenbach (EKO) works according to the Hessian Education and Upbringing Plan (BEP) and an in-house concept, which reflects the self-image of the company and basic pedagogical attitudes. On this basis, our facilities design their own in-house concept, each with its own focus.

The EKO lives a prejudice-conscious, appreciative welcoming culture. Everyone is welcome here! We give every child individual educational and development opportunities and want to be a place where diversity and democracy are lived.

Our work is shaped in dialog with the children and their families. All employees take responsibility for an active educational partnership as well as for their own pedagogical work. Accordingly, qualification, further education and training in various areas is an essential part of our work.
