Individual approach and offers

Our daycare center works according to the open concept. During the course of the day, the children choose for themselves which functional room they would like to spend time in. We have a studio, a construction room, a role-play room, a media room, a learning workshop, a playground and a bistro. The crèche works according to its own daily routine, which specifically caters to the needs of younger children. However, the children have the option of staying in the kindergarten at all times. It is important to us that all children have the opportunity to visit each other in order to support and facilitate the respective transitions to other areas.

Our daycare center sees itself as an educational institution with a focus on language education, design and aesthetics, participation, movement and sport, project work, exploring the world around us, intercultural work, dialogical development support and inclusion.

In addition, our activities are based on the course of the year and we organize events and celebrations accordingly. Once a year, we organize the Week of Cultures.

Familiarization

The move to a daycare center is a crucial experience for children and their families. This is why we help to shape it carefully and sensitively. We get children used to our structures and processes in groups (peer familiarization) and build important relationships together.

Family corner

There is a cozy seating area for parents in our entrance area. All important information about the daycare center is displayed there. It is particularly important to us that the parents have a place where they can have a pleasant chat.

Portfolio and documentation

The child is at the center of every educational documentation, and observations are recorded in the portfolio in an appreciative manner. These memories invite amazement and reflection and make it easier to see the child's development.

The Goethequartier daycare center (24) is one of the municipal daycare centers (EKO-Kita). The Eigenbetrieb Kindertagesstätten Offenbach (EKO) works according to the Hessian Education and Upbringing Plan (BEP) and an in-house concept, which reflects the self-image of the company and basic pedagogical attitudes. On this basis, our facilities design their own in-house concept, each with its own focus.

The EKO lives a prejudice-conscious, appreciative welcoming culture. Everyone is welcome here! We give every child individual educational and development opportunities and want to be a place where diversity and democracy are lived.

Our work is shaped in dialog with the children and their families. All employees take responsibility for an active educational partnership as well as for their own pedagogical work. Accordingly, qualification, further education and training in various areas is an essential part of our work.
