Individual approach and offers

Our daycare center works according to the open educational concept. In functional rooms, the children have access to a wide range of activities, projects and materials that are geared towards the children's needs, topics and skills. The children come together in reference groups for an hour every day and have their own fixed contact person. Social interaction and the teaching of values are a further focus of our pedagogy in addition to the opportunities for experimenting and trying things out, playing and learning.

Regular offers

The district explorers group is a permanent feature of the program. They explore their neighborhood, discover the world of the Mathildenviertel and conquer play and learning spaces outside the daycare center.

From 12:00 to 14:00, the children can help themselves to the lunch buffet and decide when and with whom they want to eat. Every year, our daycare center also takes part in the "Schlosskirchen Cup" soccer tournament together with daycare center soccer teams from the neighborhood. We record each child's time at the daycare center in their portfolio, which records important experiences.

Familiarization

We attach great importance to the acclimatization of the children so that they can find their way around our house and families can leave their children with us with peace of mind. This takes place in groups, is discussed with the families and individually tailored to the children.

Family corner

Our family corner is available to families at all times. The family visit week, the joint organization of the Advent week and other festivals and events are an integral part of our collaboration with families.

The Mathildenstraße daycare center (04) is one of the municipal daycare centers (EKO-Kita). The Eigenbetrieb Kindertagesstätten Offenbach (EKO) works according to the Hessian Education and Upbringing Plan (BEP) and an in-house concept, which reflects the self-image of the company and basic pedagogical attitudes. On this basis, our facilities design their own in-house concept, each with its own focus.

The EKO lives a prejudice-conscious, appreciative welcoming culture. Everyone is welcome here! We give every child individual educational and development opportunities and want to be a place where diversity and democracy are lived.

Our work is shaped in dialog with the children and their families. All employees take responsibility for an active educational partnership as well as for their own pedagogical work. Accordingly, qualification, further education and training in various areas is an essential part of our work.
