Clean children's day at the EKO daycare centers

We walked around our daycare centers together to collect garbage that was lying around in public spaces. With the help of small wooden tongs, gloves and combined forces, eight large blue sacks were quickly filled with garbage at the Rheinstraße daycare center (21) alone.

It's a great experience for the little ones, and it also teaches them that waste doesn't belong on the floor, but in the garbage can. In a playful way, we practise what we can all do for a clean environment and experience that our actions make a difference. As a small thank you, all the children were given bee-friendly flower seeds by Stadtwerke Offenbach. The "Clean Children's Day" takes place every year and is embedded in the environmental campaign "Clean Hessen", which was launched in 2002.
