The municipal daycare center Kleewasem (14) was recently awarded the "Hygiene Smiley" by the Veterinary and Consumer Protection Agency. The smiley stands for excellent hygiene standards and transparent quality in kitchens and communal catering. It is only awarded to facilities that perform particularly well in the inspections and thus show that they work responsibly and safely - in the interests of children, families and consumer protection.

In the daycare center that has now received the award, this is based on daily commitment: the staff in the kitchen give their all to offer the children a delicious, balanced lunch and at the same time run a kitchen that is hygienic, structured and clean. "We are proud of this recognition and of the strong team at the daycare center that makes it possible," says EKO operations manager Susanne Kaludra.

Mayor Sabine Groß is also delighted with the smiley: "The award is an impressive demonstration of the care and sense of responsibility that goes into the work at our daycare center. This is a strong sign of quality and trust."

The Kleewasem daycare center (14) is located in the Bieber/Waldhof district. It looks after 150 children and is divided into kindergarten (children from around 3 to 6 years) and after-school care (children of primary school age). As a daycare provider, EKO operates 29 facilities throughout Offenbach with a total of around 4,000 places from crèche to school childcare.
