Staff Council at the EKO

The basis of staff representation law for employees in Hesse is the Hessian Staff Representation Act (HPVG). Staff councils are elected in all public service institutions in accordance with the State Staff Representation Act (LPVG).

Staff meeting at the EKO

The EKO Staff Council represents the interests of employees vis-à-vis the public employer "Eigenbetrieb Kindertagesstätten Offenbach" (EKO). The staff council members are elected by the employees of the EKO.

The central task of the EKO Staff Council is to represent the social and personal interests of all employees within the scope of their employment relationships and their workplaces vis-à-vis the department (EKO management). It is committed to both collective and personal individual interests.

There are a large number of personnel and social matters in which the Staff Council has to act as a partner, but also as a counterpart to the EKO management. Another important task of the Staff Council is to ensure that the laws, regulations, collective agreements, service agreements and administrative directives applicable to employees are complied with and implemented.

The Staff Council receives legitimate suggestions and complaints from employees and passes these on to the management in order to demand remedial action.

An important goal of the PR committee is to act for the benefit of the employees. It is very important to the EKO Staff Council to reconcile the well-being of all colleagues at the EKO with the fulfillment of their official duties.
