In April 2023, Caritas Offenbach took over the six daycare centers of the Catholic Church. On Wednesday, January 21, Mayor Sabine Groß met with Caritas Director Martin Webers, Head of Childcare Axel Hechler and Manuela Cwielong, head of the St. Paul daycare center, to exchange experiences and officially welcome the Caritas association as a new daycare provider in Offenbach: "With the Caritas association, another experienced provider of social work is shaping the early education offer in our city. I am particularly pleased that families with support needs can be connected quickly and easily to further social services offered by Caritas."

The Caritas association is also highly motivated by the new task: "The future is created where generations take responsibility for each other is the motto of the Caritas 2026 campaign. In this spirit, Caritas in Offenbach connects help for all generations," says Martin Webers. "Our daycare centers are characterized by a family atmosphere, close cooperation with parents and inclusive pedagogy. Children from different backgrounds and with different requirements are naturally part of our community," explains Webers.

The Caritas Association currently offers over 400 childcare places in its six daycare centers in various districts - but that is not the end of the story. For example, there are concrete plans to expand the St. Marien daycare center by a further 50 places. "We have a high demand in the Mathildenviertel in particular and are pleased that the offer is growing at this location," says the mayor.
