The labor market project "BeA Plus - Career starters in geriatric care" has been awarded the Sophie von La Roche Prize 2016 by the city of Offenbach am Main. Lord Mayor Horst Schneider, City Councillor Marianne Herrmann and Municipal Women's Representative Karin Dörr presented the award on Tuesday, March 1, 2016, in the presence of around 120 visitors to the Klingspor Museum. The project, which was launched in November 2012 under the auspices of the former GOAB (Gemeinnützige Offenbacher Ausbildungs- und Beschäftigungsgesellschaft), integrates migrant women into the field of geriatric care.

BeA Plus is currently the only publicly funded project in Offenbach to offer training support for migrant women in the age group up to the end of their 40s. Following GOAB's insolvency, the project was continued in 2014 under the umbrella of the Institute for Vocational Training, Labor Market and Social Policy (INBAS). In April 2015, INBAS launched a new round under the name "BeA Plus": until March 31, 2017, the project team led by Narges Yelaghi and Ralf Priester can once again provide women with professional orientation, support and training with its pioneering conceptual orientation in the form of "assisted training".
