The Women's Office team took part in an inspiring exchange at the Federal Employment Agency on Tuesday, October 30. The latter coordinates the regular network meetings, which are always hosted by a different member of the network. This time, the topic was "Part-time leadership", with presentations and workshops such as the one held by Stefan Reuyß from SowiTra in Berlin, who provided information on the possibilities, limits and requirements of part-time leadership and promoted the relevance of flexible working time models for balancing work and family life. Britta Quaissa and Steffi Giec from the Federal Employment Agency spoke from their practical experience about how teams also benefit from managers sharing responsibility.
Dr. Inga Halwachs, Head of the Offenbach Women's Office, sees her activities confirmed: "Since 2017, we have been awarding the Uff, which is Offenbach's abbreviation for the compatibility of work, family and care, to companies that offer flexible working time models and thus enable equal opportunities. In the award-winning companies, there is a great deal of understanding for the needs of fathers, mothers and carers. In addition, the challenges of an ageing society on the one hand and the needs of parents and children on the other require new, contemporary concepts. We have always advocated a better work-life balance and were able to learn about many new ideas during the exchange."
The Uff award is presented every two years; the application phase for Uff 2025 starts on March 1, 2025.
