Youth center "Treff Waldhof"
Treff Waldhof is run by the Internationaler Bund, a non-profit organization for youth, social and educational work. The children and youth work at Treff Waldhof is aimed at all children and young people from the Bieber and Waldhof districts of Offenbach.
The IB's work with children and young people in the Bieber Waldhof district began in 1984 with mobile youth work.
The "Treff Waldhof" youth center, built in 1993, created a meeting place for the children and young people of Waldhof and the surrounding area, which has since played an important role for age groups between 6 and around 25. In the meantime, the "Treff" has become a place of contact and communication for children, young people, but also for parents and fellow citizens of the district.
The facility is integrated into the community and carries out socio-spatial work in cooperation with other institutions.
In addition to a wide range of activities for children and young people (e.g. youth counter, hip hop, dancing for girls, cooking, bicycle workshop, drumming, breakdancing, excursions and vacation activities), the work of the children and youth center includes advice for parents, a mothers' meeting and participation in district-related working groups.
Treff Waldhof is funded by the Youth Welfare Office of the City of Offenbach.
