Two new playgrounds have been built in the Bürgel-Ost development area in recent months. Following the official opening of the playground on Anneliese-Heikaus-Straße in March, the Merowingerstraße playground on the eastern side of Mainzer Ring will be open for play from Thursday, May 9, 2024.
The play areas are sensitively integrated into the existing trees and a spacious meadow area and offer a variety of opportunities for climbing, swinging, sliding and balancing as well as areas for exploring and meeting up. The playground extends the play elements of the central playground with challenging climbing sculptures for older children. A few trees had to be removed, but were replaced and more were added.
