Open stage and OpenMic at KJK Sandgasse

28.01.2025

Young talents have been given a stage at the KJK Sandgasse since September last year: the "Open Mic" series is aimed at musicians and bands who present their songs there. The first events were already a great success, and because it's not just about music, the program is now not only being continued, but even expanded. From January 31, there will be an "Open Stage" on the last Friday of every month at 8.30 p.m. "Open Mic" will now take place regularly every three months and is aimed primarily at the city's rap and hip-hop community. The first date in 2025 is March 28.

The events are organized by Irina Scelsi and Claudia Bernhard from the Youth Culture Office. Both hope that the series will continue to grow and that they can attract many new artists to the program. "Young people who want to try things out or present their work to others are welcome. Whether it's poetry slams, comedy, theater, dance or, of course, music, the stage is theirs," says Bernhard. The two organizers are also planning a date for bands in the middle of the year and want to hold more specials.

Information is available from Irina Scelsi and Claudia Bernhard at the Youth Culture Office in KJK Sandgasse, by e-mail to jugendkulturbuerooffenbachde or by telephone on 069 8065 3969.
