Upon request, the Federal President takes on a symbolic sponsorship for every seventh child in a family. The sponsorship symbolizes the state's duty of care for large families. City Treasurer Martin Wilhelm presented the certificate from the Federal President last Thursday, November 13, along with a cash gift of 500 euros. The cuddly toy "Penny Pincher" was a small gift from the City of Offenbach.
Tanja and her husband opted for a large family because it is "something beautiful" and they "want to see smiling children's faces every day". With such a large family, soon to be a family of ten, the question arises as to how everyday life will be organized. For the mother of seven, who until recently worked full-time, the day starts at 5 a.m. and sometimes doesn't end until midnight. Her husband is on parental leave and therefore always present. Tanja reports that she can sometimes send the older children shopping and involve them in family duties.
City Treasurer Martin Wilhelm concluded by wishing little Levi and his family good health, happiness and all the best for the future.
