Holy Spirit
The Heilig Geist parish church is located on Freie Platz in the center of Rumpenheim. It was built in 1930 as a branch church of the parish of St. Pankratius in Bürgel.
The church is in the style of a neo-Romanesque chapel with colorful arched windows and rosettes. The interior was redesigned in 1972 and now offers an appealing atmosphere for the celebration of group and parish services.
The Heilig Geist parish became independent in 1950. In September 2012, Pastor Andreas Puckel took over from Pastor Wolfgang Fritz, who had led the parish since 1987. Heilig Geist is a small but lively and young suburban parish. Group lessons are offered for children, and the youth have their meeting place. Parish life takes place in many other groups: Schola, women's circle, children's service circle, Kolpingfamilie; Heilig Geist is an open church. Anyone who wants to join in is cordially invited. The congregation meets regularly for services on Sundays and public holidays; weekday services are held by arrangement.
