Holy Trinity
The Catholic parish of Holy Trinity on Buchhügel was founded in 1965 as a daughter parish of St. Marien. The church was consecrated on October 20, 1968 by Bishop and later Cardinal Volk. The church building is designed in the shape of an oval with a flat roof. The pews are arranged in a semicircle around the altar.
The congregation on Obere Grenzstrasse has 2,200 members. The parish priest personally congratulates older members of the congregation on their birthdays. There is also a monthly senior citizens' afternoon, youth group sessions and altar boy work for young people. A church service is celebrated daily in the parish.
