Rabbi Mendel Gurewitz visits the town hall

15.04.2025

Mayor Sabine Groß and City Treasurer Martin Wilhelm received Rabbi Mendel Gurewitz and his son at City Hall last Friday, April 11. "Ahead of the upcoming Passover, which begins this Friday, I would like to present you with a mazza: handmade and made from kosher shmurah. This symbolizes freedom and cohesion and is part of a long-standing tradition," said Rabbi Mendel Gurewitz. Mazza (matzah) is an unleavened flatbread. Groß and Wilhelm thanked Rabbi Mendel Gurewitz and wished him and the Jewish community a "Happy Passover".
