Culture for a young audience
Children love stories, costumes, music, dance and theater: culture has an immediate effect, here stories can be experienced up close, children are right in the middle of it, can sing along, clap and are emotionally moved. Culture stimulates the imagination, encourages empathy, expands vocabulary and promotes the joy of movement. This is why culture for children is firmly established in the city. For example, the KJK Sandgasse offers a variety of hands-on activities in which children can play theater, make music or dance or even make their own programs in the media floor. There is also a wide range of activities for children and young people at the Klingspor Museum, the House of City History, the Leather Museum and the children's and youth library Kinder-Kultur.
