English Version
The work of artist Elsa Tomkowiak spreads out on the water of Dreieichpark like a colorful carpet. The uniform acrylic spheres are transformed by the gentle movement of the water into an amorphous sculpture that has spread across the small lake like a new plant species. Associations with a carpet of water lilies come to mind. Depending on the time of day and perspective, the colors of the water sculpture merge with the immediate surroundings to dissolve into artificial explosions of color through the refraction of light on the crystal-like surface. The artist takes up the layout of the park, whose artificial origins and multiple creative transformations in the midst of nature are often forgotten.
