The exhibition "Colorful InsideOut" at the KUNSTANSICHTEN 2026
Kunstansichten 2026 brings Petra Hirsch back to her colorful, abstract paintings, which she began exhibiting at Kunstansichten a few years ago.
What is "Inside out"?
"Inside out" describes various concepts: the turning of clothes inside out, a technique in tennis, a special type of sushi, but also a perspective in psychology and economics that turns the inside of a system inside out or makes it understandable.
Abstract art under the title "Inside out" often focuses on the visualization of inner emotional states, shadow worlds or the transformation of feelings such as fear, anger or sadness into visible colors and forms.
Petra Hirsch uses this concept in her large-format paintings through the impulsive composition of colors and materials (pigments, sand, sawdust, coffee beans). For her, the creation of a new painting is like a successful therapy session.
Her works invite viewers to enter into their own inner dialog and come to terms with their personal inner worlds.
Petra Hirsch loves oil paints and pigments as a means of artistic expression as much as inside-out sushi from Asian cuisine - a perfect match for the 2026 exhibition theme.
