The exhibition "Everything but Tuesday" at the KUNSTANSICHTEN 2026
Pierre Verago has been studying at the HfG Offenbach since 2022 under Professors Heiner Blum, Mike Bouchet and Gunter Reski. His work examines how social and economic structures are inscribed in material. Everyday materials and industrial production become image carriers that tell of work, wear and tear and hidden hierarchies. By choosing materials and changing the context, he makes visible what is encoded in the ordinary.
Pierre Verago
born on August 12, 1996 in Frankfurt am Main, has been studying fine art at the Offenbach University of Art and Design under Prof. Heiner Blum, Prof. Mike Bouchet and Prof. Gunter Reski since October 2022. In 2025 he received the Deutschlandstipendium. From February to July 2025 he took over the curatorial direction of the OK Offenbacher Kunsthalle under Prof. Heiner Blum and realized the exhibitions First Entry, Verbundenheit and JETZT! Verago is a co-founder of the artist collective neue kunstfreunde, which has been curating the seven-part exhibition series (eins.) in cooperation with the Haus der Stadtgeschichte Offenbach since February 2025. He is interested in the tension between the functional and the aesthetic as well as the question of how new meanings are created through gestures of appropriation and re-contextualization.
