Students of the Film Department of the Hochschule für Gestaltung

In the winter semester 2025/2026, we didn't set out to "film" texts - we let them send us on a journey. The starting point was texts from the writing workshop led by Claudia Basrawi, published under the title "Eine Krabbe, die sich ausziehen und einfach abhaut...".

Out of this grew small, stubborn film ideas: spacious enough for our questions and doubts, for searching movements, scenes, experiments, for filming, for discarding and for reinventing. For nonsense and seriousness. For the light and the heavy, without judgment.

These processes themselves are movements. Motion. They contain emotion: moods, excessive demands, sparks, ruptures and comedy - and always the political present.
