Accessibility
The event is largely barrier-free. You will find a barrier-free WC and a changing table at the side of the Büsing Palais in the direction of the Klingspor Museum (path behind the Sheraton Hotel).
Drone recordings
It is strictly forbidden to take pictures of participating clubs or visitors using a drone, even if the owner of the drone is prohibited from flying over them.
The Festival of Lights is a closed event at which the organizer, OSG, has the domiciliary rights and is responsible for protecting the personal rights of visitors.
Admission and box office
Please use all ticket offices
- Ticket office Berliner Straße near Sheraton
- Büsingpalais ticket office Linsenberg playground behind the city library
Purchased tickets must be exchanged for wristbands at the ticket offices. This can also be done at the third admission point on the corner of Berliner Straße and Kaiserstraße.
Admission / bag checks
When entering the event grounds, the admission ticket or wristband must be shown to the admission staff.
Bag checks will be carried out again this year at the entrance. To ensure that these checks can be carried out as quickly as possible, please do not bring closed bags or suitcases.
Consent for photographs
By entering the event grounds, visitors give their consent to the creation of recordings of their person and the storage of the corresponding data as well as to the use of these recordings for the reporting of the City of Offenbach am Main. The
photos and/or videos will be published to promote and document the Festival of Lights on the internet portal www.offenbach.de and the social networks of the City of Offenbach (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) as well as digital display boards and printed publications.
The photographs will also be made available to the media for editorial purposes for reporting on the Festival of Lights.
Visitors and participants who do not wish to be photographed should inform the photographers / editors directly on site. The city's photo and film team is marked with the imprint "Amt für Öffentlichkeitsarbeit".
Festival grounds
With the implementation of the security concept for the Festival of Lights, the capacity of festival visitors has been set at a maximum of 8,000 people and the sale of tickets and admission controls have been put in place to ensure compliance.
This year, the park will once again be fenced in parallel to Berliner Straße, directly in front of the fenced-in rose beds.
The festival area can still be accessed via the three park entrances (Berliner Straße, Berliner Straße/Kaiserstraße and Lesegarten, near Frieda Stadtcafé).
The main escape route in an emergency is Kaiserstraße, which will be closed on one side from 5.30 p.m. until it reaches Speyerstraße. Speyerstrasse will be traffic-calmed.
It is possible to leave the park at any time via the three park entrances.
In the event of danger, these also serve as emergency exits. Appropriate signage has been installed in the park.
Bicycles
It is forbidden to bring bicycles onto the festival grounds. You can park your bicycle outside the festival area in the bicycle parking area set up for this purpose at the Lilipark entrance (see map for exact location).
For safety reasons, it is strictly forbidden to park bicycles along the construction fences and barrier fences that enclose the actual festival area around the Büsingpark! In the event of an escape, this would lead to a major source of danger
Fire department & paramedics
Emergency services from the Offenbach volunteer fire department will be on site in the evening to "monitor" the campaign with a careful eye and actively support the campaign. Emergency services from the Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund (ASB) will also be on site from 17:00 to 01:00.
Two emergency vehicles each from the fire department and the ASB will be located in the immediate vicinity of the parking entrance/exit area on Kaiserstrasse, near the parking strip, and in the reading garden near Frieda. An ASB tent has also been set up on the festival grounds (see map).
Photographs
The Festival of Lights is one of the most outstanding events in Offenbach and we would therefore like to capture some beautiful moments: On behalf of the City of Offenbach, editors from the Public Relations Office are out and about on the festival grounds taking pictures and videos. The main focus is on impressions, including with visitors as well as with the active members of the clubs and the catering trade.
The city has also commissioned the Offenbach agency Urban Media Project to take drone shots - the drone will never fly over your head. The use of other (private) drones is strictly prohibited and violations will be punished accordingly.
The photos and / or videos will be used and published editorially and for marketing purposes on the internet portal www.offenbach.de and the social media channels of the City of Offenbach (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) as well as on the digital display boards and in printed publications. The photos are also sent to publishing houses and the media with the press newsletter.
You don't want to be photographed?
Of course we respect that! The photographers and editors commissioned by us wear a conspicuous vest with the inscription "Amt für Öffentlichkeitsarbeit" (Public Relations Office) with the city logo or can identify themselves accordingly.
If you do not wish to be photographed, please speak to the photographer/editor personally. Otherwise, we will consider your participation in the event as consent to data storage and data transfer to third parties. All images of this event will be deleted within the legally stipulated periods.
The city and the organizer - Offenbacher Stadtmarketinggesellschaft mbH (OSG) - are neither responsible nor liable for other photographers at the Festival of Lights and their photographs. OSG is not responsible for the images of third parties and their distribution.
If you have any questions, please contact the Public Relations Office on 069 8065-2846 or by e-mail at infooffenbachde
Gastronomic offer
