Festival of Lights 2026

The Festival of Lights will take place on August 8 at Büsingpark.

Doors open at 5 p.m.

The concert begins at 8:00 p.m.

You can enter the seating area at 7:00 p.m. with a valid ticket.

The Festival of Lights takes place in a central location in Büsingpark.

Bus & Train

The festival grounds are easily accessible by bus and S-Bahn via the Marktplatz station. The station is served by bus lines 101, 103, 104, 105, 106, 108, 120, 41, 551, 661, V10, and X83, as well as S-Bahn lines S1, S2, S8, and S9.

Bicycle

If you’re coming by bike, you’ll find a bike parking area in Lilipark. Parking your bike in the entrance area or on the grounds is not permitted.

Car

During the Festival of Lights, one side of Kaiserstrasse between Berliner Strasse and Speyerstrasse, as well as Speyerstrasse and Strasse am Linsenberg, will be closed to traffic.
Visitors arriving by car for the Festival of Lights will find nearby parking options in the Haus der Wirtschaft and Stadthaus parking garages on Berliner Straße, as well as in the Französisches Gässchen parking garage, on Ziegelstraße, and at the Mainparkplatz.

Admission begins at 5:00 p.m. You can use the following entrances to the event grounds:

Entrance 1 (Lesegarten / near the City Library)

The main entrance and ticket area for all visitors and participants (with admission wristbands, advance tickets, and box office sales) is located in the Lesegarten and can be accessed via Herrnstraße.

Entrance 2 (Kaiserstraße / Büsingpark side entrance)

This entrance is reserved exclusively for visitors and participants who have already been issued an admission wristband.

Entrance 3 (Berliner Straße / near the Sheraton Hotel)

This entrance has been specifically designated for people with disabilities (with a disability rating of 50% or higher), individuals with limited mobility, and their companions.

You may enter and exit the park multiple times with your wristband.

Wristbands will also be available at the box office for 7 EUR.

If still available, reserved-seating tickets will also be available at the box office for 31 EUR.

Doors open at 5:00 p.m. With a valid ticket, you may enter the reserved seating area at 7:00 p.m.

Portable Camping Gear

The Festival of Lights provides space for portable camping gear in the promenade area. Picnic chairs, small camping tables, and blankets may be brought onto the festival grounds.

Food and Beverages

You are allowed to bring your own food and drinks to the Festival of Lights.

Wooden and (reusable) plastic cutlery

Wooden and (reusable) plastic cutlery are permitted at the Festival of Lights and may be brought along and used.

Weapons & (Household) Knives

Bringing items that fall under the Weapons Act is not permitted. These include, among other things, knives as well as common household knives (paring knives, peeling knives, spreading and butter knives, bread knives, etc.), sharp objects, noise-making devices, containers with hazardous contents (propellants, pepper spray, CS gas, etc.), and fireworks or pyrotechnic devices.

Open Fires & Large Camping Equipment

For safety reasons, bringing and using grills and campfires, beer garden sets, gazebos, and tents is not permitted. Furthermore, it is prohibited to bring any items that, due to their size, design, or function—including as determined by staff—could disrupt the event or inconvenience other visitors.

Candles

Bringing real-wax candles is prohibited, except for those provided by the organizer for participating clubs and food vendors.

Drones

Bringing and using drones before, during, and after the event is strictly prohibited.

Drugs

Bringing or consuming cannabis and similar substances is prohibited.

Bag checks will be conducted at all entry points.

Food and drinks will once again be provided by the Lions Club Offenbach, the Kickers Fan Museum, Café Frieda, Berdux Weine, Jake’s Beverages, Soupreme, and Sun Fun Events. As usual, you’re also welcome to bring your own food and drinks into the park.

Restrooms are located at the Lesegarten park entrance, next to the Klingspor Museum (on the side path through the park), and on Kaiserstrasse (outside the festival grounds).

The event is accessible. Accessible restrooms are available at all restroom locations on the grounds.

For safety reasons, dogs are not permitted, except for trained service dogs (e.g., guide dogs for the blind).

By entering the event grounds, visitors give their consent to the taking of photographs of themselves and the storage of the corresponding data, as well as to the use of these photographs for reporting purposes by the City of Offenbach am Main. The photos and/or videos will be published to promote and document the Festival of Lights on the website www.offenbach.de and the City of Offenbach’s social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, X), as well as on digital billboards and in print publications. The images will also be made available to media outlets for editorial purposes in their coverage of the Festival of Lights.

Visitors and participants who do not wish to be photographed should inform the photographers or editors directly on site. The city’s photo and video team is identified by the inscription “Amt für Öffentlichkeitsarbeit” (Public Relations Office).
