Information on data protection for persons in healthcare professions

Do you practise a notifiable profession in accordance with Section 12 of the Hessian Law on the Public Health Service? Then we must process your personal data in order to implement this law. If you are self-employed, we will collect this data from you; otherwise your employer is obliged to notify us.

Therefore, in accordance with Articles 13 and 14 of the General Data Protection Regulation, we hereby inform you about the processing of your personal data.

By processing your data, we fulfill the legal obligations assigned to us in Section 12 of the Hessian Law on the Public Health Service. Data processing is therefore permitted in accordance with Article 6(1c) of the General Data Protection Regulation.

You or your employer are obliged to report the data processed by us. Failure to provide information may result in a fine. We compare your reports with the lists that the relevant chambers regularly provide us with. However, the chamber's report does not fulfill the requirements of the law. Your data will be stored as long as you work in one of the professions subject to registration in the Offenbach area. After deregistration, we will retain the data for a further 10 years or until you reach the age of 75 before it is permanently deleted.

We will not pass on your data to third parties. We process your data exclusively within Germany. They are not used for automated decision-making.

You can request access to the personal data stored about you at any time. If data is incorrect, you not only have the right to demand that we correct it, you are also obliged to report the correct information. We ask you to support us in keeping the file we maintain up to date and correct at all times.

During the statutory retention period, the right to erasure under Article 17 of the General Data Protection Regulation cannot be implemented by us. As we only process your data for the legally standardized purposes, your right to restriction of processing in accordance with Article 18 of the General Data Protection Regulation cannot be implemented either. You have the right to data portability in accordance with Article 20 of the General Data Protection Regulation. If, for example, you move your area of activity to the area of responsibility of another public health authority, you can request that we transfer your data there. However, we will never do this without your request.
