For the third time in a row, the traditional restaurant "Obermühle" in Offenbach-Bieber has been awarded the "Offenbach Smiley" due to good results at the food inspection in May. After 2011 and 2013, Mayor Peter Schneider has now once again presented the yellow "Smiley" to the Schäfer family. Restaurateurs can apply for the "Offenbach Smiley" following a food inspection carried out by the city's Office of Consumer Protection and Veterinary Affairs in accordance with "risk-oriented principles". Only good results allow the award.

The "Obermühle", the "rustic restaurant with cider character" according to its own advertising, was opened in February 1999 in the converted barn of the Obermühle in Bieber. However, today's restaurant has a much longer history and was first mentioned in the records of the Cistercian order in Vienna in 1280. The mill building burned down during the Thirty Years' War, was then rebuilt and still exists today. The family-run business with 12 employees is a popular excursion destination for cyclists and hikers and is located on the "Hessian Cider and Orchard Route". The beer garden invites you to linger, and a newly designed children's playground allows parents to relax and enjoy the home-style cooking.
