Important things to know when traveling with dogs and cats
If you want to travel with your pet, you will need different documents depending on the country you are traveling to. Please inform yourself in good time so that your trip runs smoothly!
If you are thinking about traveling with your pet, please consider the following points in advance:
- Is my pet fit enough for the trip?
- Is my pet anxious? Can I expect him to travel alone in the hold of an airplane?
- Depending on the type of animal, you should try to look after it at home. Cats, for example, are very loyal to their location and usually tolerate it better to stay in their familiar surroundings and be looked after by a trustworthy person there
- Depending on the animal species, certain countries should be avoided. "Short-nosed" dogs(e.g. pugs) have a problem with thermoregulation per se and should not travel to countries that are too hot.
