Employer City of Offenbach is also kununu Top Company in 2024

06.02.2024 – Offenbach City Council has once again been awarded the Top Company seal for 2024 by kununu, the largest and best-known employer rating platform in the German-speaking world. The seal recognizes companies and authorities with high employee satisfaction and is awarded on the basis of anonymous evaluations from current and former employees and applicants. The city administration is one of only around five percent of companies and authorities on the kununu platform that are recognized as a Top Company every year.

Lord Mayor Dr. Felix Schwenke and Marco Färber from the Human Resources Department present the award, which repeatedly confirms the high level of employee satisfaction at Offenbach City Council.

A recent study by the market research company YouGov revealed that the Top Company seal is considered relevant for 45% of job seekers when choosing their future job. The award is both proof and a valuable compliment for the attractiveness of Offenbach City Council as an employer and also sends a strong signal to applicants who are interested in working for the city council.

For Lord Mayor Dr. Felix Schwenke, the renewed award this year is also proof that the city is on the right track when it comes to employer attractiveness: "Through the development of our employer brand, the associated, clearly visible personnel marketing campaigns and our intensified recruiting activities, we continue to consistently pursue our efforts to inspire people to work for the city administration. Our recent campaign under the motto 'Offenbach - obviously different', for example, was aimed at deliberately dispelling persistent clichés about a job at the city".

Head of Human Resources Thomas Heberer is also particularly pleased that the previous year's success was repeated and that the city administration has succeeded in receiving the award, which is presented annually on the basis of strict criteria, in 2024 as well. "A great deal of passion goes into our recruitment activities - and fortunately, potential colleagues who are keen to work together on projects for the future of the city of Offenbach with just as much commitment also notice this. We are therefore always happy to receive applications for our advertised positions," says Heberer.

He therefore also sees the seal as proof of the numerous efforts in his personnel department to consistently counteract demographic change and the shortage of skilled workers, which also affects local authorities. In order to once again receive the coveted Top Company seal in 2025, the city will continue to invest in its attractiveness as an employer and focus on recruiting staff.
