City of Offenbach once again recognized as a top employer
26.02.2025 – The City of Offenbach remains one of the most attractive employers in Germany this year: the employer rating platform kununu has once again awarded the coveted Top Company seal to the city administration. Only around five percent of all rated companies and authorities receive this award, which is based on anonymous ratings from current and former employees and applicants.
Lord Mayor Dr. Felix Schwenke is delighted and emphasizes: "It is really important to me that we are a good employer. I am all the more pleased that we are receiving such positive feedback from our employees and applicants. This recognition shows that our commitment is visible and appreciated." For the Mayor, the seal is not only a confirmation of good working conditions, but also an important signal - also to future applicants: "The repeated award shows that the city is constantly developing as an employer and offers a working environment in which employees feel comfortable and can develop."
Many applicants use the kununu platform to get an idea of potential employers in advance - the City of Offenbach is also closely scrutinized there. "We know that applicants check kununu before they decide to work for us. It is therefore all the more pleasing that we learn from their feedback how they perceive our application process," says Marco Färber, who is responsible for recruiting.
The overall package that the city offers its employees is also an important part of its attractiveness as an employer: "We invest in workplace health promotion, offer a free job ticket for the entire RMV fare zone and we enable home office and flexible working hours where activities allow. The latter in particular is now very important for many employees and applicants."
Head of Human Resources Thomas Heberer believes it is important not to rest on our laurels: "We are constantly working to make our jobs attractive in order to counteract the shortage of skilled workers and attract committed people to our city. The aim is to be one of the top employers again next year."
