City of Offenbach welcomes the new training year

05.09.2023

Training manager Manfred Keller and Jessica Fißler from the staff council (far left in the picture) and the head of the personnel department, Beate Röschmann (far right in the picture), welcomed the new trainees and students at the city administration.

13 young people started their training at the city administration on September 1. This year's intake is four more than the previous year. Planning for the coming year even envisages a further increase in numbers. After all, the City of Offenbach does not train apprentices for other employers, but has always relied on its own trained junior staff. The new trainees were welcomed by Beate Röschmann on behalf of the Head of the Personnel Office, Jessica Fißler on behalf of the City Administration Staff Council and Manfred Keller as Head of Training.

Before starting their tasks in the various offices, the new trainees first take part in a central introductory internship. Here, contact is made with the previous cohorts and employees who are training them present their tasks. The training professions are as varied as the offices. In addition to four trainee administrative assistants, one administrative administrator and one administrative administrator and two IT specialists in the field of system integration, the new intake also includes five students on the Public Administration course.

From now on, the subjects of administrative law, finance and social affairs will determine the timetable in the administrative professions, while the two IT specialists will be prepared for future challenges in the planning and configuration of IT systems.

Anyone who is curious and would like to join them next year can apply directly at www.offenbach.de/ausbildung until October 11.
