Robin is a social worker at the youth welfare office in the General Social Service (ASD). He supports families in difficult situations, assists with parenting support and always keeps an eye on child protection.

No two days are the same: Home visits, discussions with families, accompanying family court proceedings or initiating educational support - the work at the youth welfare office is varied and responsible. Close communication within the team is also an important part of Robin's work. He can always rely on his colleagues and develop solutions together, especially in challenging cases. He particularly appreciates the team because everyone has the same sense of humor and can laugh together.

Christina is on hand to ensure a safe city.

Christina works in the public order office of the city of Offenbach. She ensures that traffic runs smoothly, parking rules are monitored and speeds on the roads are checked.

No two days are the same: sometimes on foot, sometimes by bike or car. Their work takes place in the heart of the city and close to the people. It is the variety and working in the fresh air that make the job special for her. Direct contact with citizens is a natural part of the job for Christina. Conny is there when there's a fire.

Conny loves all the different tasks involved in her job: whether it's fall protection, on the water with the rescue boat, in the fire engine or in the control center - every day brings new challenges. Further training and maintaining the emergency equipment are also a matter of course for her.

"Being a firefighter in the professional fire department has always been my dream." Today, Conny is living this dream at the Offenbach fire department - she even moved to Hesse with her whole family to do so.

Dominik is on hand to implement urban construction projects.

Dominik is a geologist and works in the Office for Planning and Construction as a consultant for traffic facilities and engineering structures. As project manager, he is responsible for Offenbach's largest construction project: the renovation of the Main dyke - important infrastructure projects for a sustainable city.

He can play an active role in shaping the city in which he lives. His contribution has a real impact on the people of Offenbach. The flexible working hours, the opportunity to work part-time and the family-friendly structures allow him to combine work and family life and reconcile the two.

Steffi works as a doctor at the public health department. Here she can act before it hurts. She loves the versatility of her job: from home visits by public health officers to school check-ups and advising schools and parents on child protection.

Giancarlo is on hand for smart solutions.

Giancarlo is Head of Infrastructure and Deputy Head of the IT department. He trained as an IT specialist for system integration at the city council and has been with the company for 17 years. His team looks after the IT infrastructure, ensures stable networks and drives digitalization forward - so that, for example, residents' parking permits can be conveniently applied for online. He is currently in charge of a major project: connecting all administrative workstations at Offenbach schools to the municipal IT system.

Why is the job obviously for Giancarlo?

Born and raised in Offenbach, he is now passionate about shaping the digital infrastructure of his home town. "IT has always been my passion. I can really move the city forward here". What motivates him in particular? The fact that his colleagues can work with reliable technology - and thus offer citizens a better service.
