City council convenes in the reopened meeting room
25.08.2025 – After a long interruption, the meeting room in the town hall will once again be available for regular meetings of the city council. The first meeting after the extensive renovation will take place on August 28, 2025. The ceremonial opening of the hall took place on August 21.
The meeting room had been closed since March 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic and subsequent refurbishment measures due to pollution and the installation of new media technology.
"After more than five years, we can finally put the meeting room back into operation," says Stephan Färber, Head of City Council, happily. "With the new technology and the extensive renovation measures, our city councillors now have optimal conditions to effectively discuss the concerns of our citizens and make decisions."
The agenda includes important decisions on the Dietzenbacher Straße energy plant, the Emmy Noether School and soil and groundwater protection. The entire agenda can be found here:
The meeting on August 28 starts at 5 p.m. in the town hall, Berliner Straße 100. Interested parties can follow the meeting on site, but also digitally via livestream and live ticker at www.offenbach.de/stv-live.
