12.05.2026
At its constituent meeting, the Foreigners' Advisory Council of the City of Offenbach re-elected its long-standing chairman Abdelkader Rafoud to office. "I am happy about the trust placed in me once again and the opportunity to give my voice and my political experience to the foreign citizens of Offenbach," says Rafoud after his election.
Servet Öztürk, Filiz Elmas (both Miteinander Offenbach), Naime Demirezen (Turkish Community) and Zacharoula Bellou (Greek Community Offenbach) have been elected to the board alongside him.
20 of the members of the Foreigners' Advisory Council voted for Rafoud. The 25-member committee represents the interests of Offenbach residents without a German passport. Since 2020, the Foreigners' Advisory Council has had its own right to submit motions to the city council. Rafoud, a representative of the Multicultural List, has been active on the Foreigners' Advisory Council since 1987. He took over as chairman in 2001 and has held the position continuously since then.
