High-ranking Jordanian delegation visits Offenbach Town Hall

Last Tuesday, July 8, the city of Offenbach welcomed a high-ranking delegation from Jordan to the city hall. The visit followed on from the successful exchange in October 2024 and underlined the growing relations between Offenbach and the Kingdom of Jordan.
The guests included Dr. Abdel Basset Al-Kabariti, Member of the Jordanian Parliament, and Dr. Rami Al-Nawaiseh, Head of Office of the Jordanian Prime Minister, as well as representatives of the Arab-German Cultural Association. They were welcomed by Stephan Färber, Head of the City Council, Martin Wilhelm, Head of the Department of Finance, Social Affairs and Integration and Abdelkader Rafoud, Chairman of the Foreigners' Advisory Council and Member of the City Parliament.
The main topics of the meeting were the situation of refugees in Jordan and a comparison of the political systems in both countries. In addition, migration and integration policy in Offenbach and local political decision-making processes were discussed. Opportunities for increased cooperation between Offenbach and Jordanian cities were also discussed during the visit.

The reception underlined Offenbach's role as a cosmopolitan and internationally networked city and provided an opportunity to further deepen existing ties with Jordan.
