Children's and youth parliament

The Children's and Youth Parliament is made up of Offenbach schoolchildren; children and young people from the 3rd grade onwards can stand as candidates.

The current KJP will be visiting Offenbach schools until December 5 to provide information about the new elections and to campaign for participation.

Under the motto "Our superpower? DIVERSITY! Inclusion makes us stronger", the Youth Democracy Conference of the Partnership for Democracy Offenbach am Main recently took place.

The second plenary session of the 13th Children's and Youth Parliament (KJP) will take place on Thursday, July 11.

The multilingual card game "Play with the fundamental rights of our democracy" has also been published to accompany the exhibition, giving children aged 12 and over the opportunity to learn about fundamental rights in a playful way.

Because 16- and 17-year-olds can also take part in the European elections, the Partnership for Democracy invited them to a democracy conference on Wednesday, April 17.

"We are the experts for the concerns of children and young people in our city": That's why the KJP wants to be heard in the city council.

The KJP wants to use the pavilion as a place for socioculture, encounters and participation and thus set an accent in the city center.

The new film by the children's group of the Children's and Youth Parliament (KJP) shows what children want in and from the city and who or what the Children's and Youth Parliament actually is.

The children's group also combined the final trip, which was partly financed by the Offenbach Partnership for Democracy, with the Hessian Democracy Day in Bensheim.

Around 100 students discussed topics such as respect and tolerance, hate speech, climate protection and the debate on EU copyright reform, upload filters and freedom of expression known as "Article 13".
