The city is aware of the problems surrounding the properties on Heusenstammer Weg. Communication on the current status is not always possible during ongoing proceedings and investigations.

The reference to the dumping of waste on one of the properties is being investigated by the public order office.

The condition of the path is known and is currently being worked on. Renovation is expected to take place this year.

Official statement from Department IV:

The new construction of the elementary school in Bieber Nord was built in accordance with the requirements of the Hessian Building Code, the Hessian Model School Construction Guideline and the rules of the Hessian Accident Insurance Fund. After completion, conformity with building regulations was confirmed in writing by the site management.

The staircase in the central hall serves as the main access route and provides a visual connection across four storeys. The stairs in the school can be used safely like any standard staircase. A safety net is not provided and is not required. All railings (balustrades and banisters) meet the required height of 1.10 meters.

There is no information that pupils are only allowed to use the stairs under supervision and individually.

In accordance with the normal rules of conduct in the school, running and pushing on the stairs is prohibited. Stairs should be walked on the right so that oncoming people can also pass. There are no indications that dangerous situations have occurred on the stairs.

The construction site is not a measure of the City of Offenbach, but a private construction site. The ESO was already on site, inspected the condition and secured the sidewalk with its own bollards. These have since been stolen and integrated into the roadworks safety measures. The ESO is keeping an eye on this case.

The areas named by citizens are checked by the ESO and the Office for Planning and Construction for their condition and responsibilities. This section of Obere Grenzstraße is not a fully developed road. The "footpaths" are merely verges. An extension of the road would be subject to a service charge as a new construction / initial extension. Such a measure is not currently planned.

The City of Offenbach notes that parts of the footpaths lead from the bus parking lot to the Wetterpark and are therefore also relevant for the city's public image.

According to geodata, the Wetterpark is classified as a park and therefore as a public green space. Dogs must be kept on a lead in all public areas. This includes public green spaces, parks and playgrounds, unless these areas are expressly approved for dogs. This also applies to the Wetterpark.

On dogorama.app, an app with information for dog owners, the Wetterpark is therefore incorrectly marked as an off-leash area. The official information provided by the city applies and not the information on private websites.

A resident reports that it is not possible to find a parking space in her resident parking district at certain times of the day. There are other parking areas around her parking district, so she cannot go there. She asks whether it is possible to change the layout or obtain a permit for a neighboring parking district.

First of all, the size of the respective honeycombs is clearly regulated. The establishment and modification of resident parking districts is a complex procedure that requires parking space studies.

The number of car registrations is increasing and the mileage is decreasing. This means that more and more vehicles are standing around instead of being moved. This means that parking space is becoming increasingly scarce overall. The city is unable to act against this development. Resident parking districts are not a solution to this, as they can only be set up if the parking pressure comes from outside and not from the residents themselves.

Scheffelstraße is a residential street. This does not mean that you have to be a resident, i.e. live there, in order to drive into the street and park there, but that anyone who has a concern there may drive in and park there.

Defining a new resident parking district or extending an existing one to include this area is a complex process. Parking space studies are necessary to prove that there is high parking pressure. However, if this is not caused by external factors (e.g. people commuting to work) but by the residents themselves, it is not legally permissible to set up resident parking. This is because if the available parking space is not sufficient for the residents alone, the establishment of residents' parking districts is not expedient under the Road Traffic Regulations and is therefore unlawful. Resident parking is only possible where resident parking, i.e. the prevention of parking by others, leads to more usable parking space for residents.

The Mobility Office is checking when the last survey was carried out for this area and what the results were.

The hazardous situations caused by excessive speed described above are being checked.

The current measurements with the side radar have shown an average speed of well below 50 km/h. However, there were also outliers. However, there were also outliers. An enforcement trailer (mobile trailer for speed measurement) cannot be set up. The application for a trailer location was rejected by HÖMS (University of Applied Sciences for Public Management and Safety) as the speeding violations do not pose a corresponding risk.

The public order office will include the area more intensively in its measurements.

The crosswalks already in place should contribute to traffic calming. The ESO always trims the greenery around the crosswalks as soon as possible so that both the signage and people wishing to cross are clearly visible.

As the section of Buchhügelallee in question is a main road, the introduction of a 30 km/h speed limit is only possible here under very specific conditions, e.g. in the case of a proven accident blackspot (several similar accidents) or via regulations such as the noise action plan. As things stand at present, none of these options apply.

were intensively patrolled over a period of two weeks (13.05.25-26.05.25). Particular emphasis was placed on the bend area. A total of 22 warnings were issued.

The missing bollards will be replaced soon.

The areas in the historic facilities that are considered dangerous for e-bikes, especially in the dark, are the responsibility of the Office for Planning and Building. The information is available there for review.
